Blog Anniversary {giveaway}

Three years ago today I started this little blog.

It is a place to journal about our family life, homeschooling, vacations, projects, and thoughts/ideas. Although I haven't been great about keeping up this summer I still know this is a great place to record our memories.

I know I have said it before but when I started this blog I never imagined creating friendships and connecting with other women all over the United States. I must say it has been a beautiful benefit of blogging. Something I am thankful for every day.

In honor of my blog anniversary, I am doing a little giveaway.

The first item is a savvy cents wallet. My friend Rachel turned me onto this wallet about a month ago. I LOVE it! It combines a regular wallet with the envelopes cash system. I no longer have to keep a wallet and my FPU envelopes system in my purse. I love how the envelopes section not only has room for cash but also for coupons, gift cards, etc... The wallet comes in three colors: red, pink, and black. The winner will get to choose the color of their choice.

** i am giving away this wallet at my own expense. i am not being compensated for giving a review of this wallet.

If you have read my blog for any time you know that I love to bake. The second giveaway is a cookie/bar of the month. The winner will receive a dozen cookies or bars made by me. Some months will be a tried and true recipe, like my chocolate chip cookies, and some months may be something new.

Leave me a comment, question, memory, whatever! I will draw for the winners on Wednesday August 25th!

Well, we did not meet through blogging...but I have the wonderful privilege of calling you my friend and spending time with you in person. I am looking forward to our homeschool group this year...thanks for all you do and for putting together all the wonderful field trips! I am excited!
Oh, and that wallet would be wonderful...my envelopes are all crammed into my wallet and I can barely close it. Oh, but your desserts are my favorite!

Hey Kristen!

I am glad you have your blog because it makes it seem that you are not as far away as you really are!! :)

Seriously Kristen :) Cookie of the month and the "envelopes" wallet? Both are great! One will keep me on track and the other would sabatoge my health (but totally worth it!) I am glad to know you, even if we didn't meet because of the blog. However, your blog inspired me to do my own (although it has been severely neglected for 10 months...) and it has allowed me the priviledge of getting to know you better and to share in your family moments. Thank you for both of those things!

Hi, Kristen,

I think it's so fun that we connected via the internet as well! We just started the envelopes system this month so I'm going to take a closer look at that wallet. And, I can speak from first-hand experience that your cookies are delicious! I owe you a batch! Have you started school yet?

Oh the wallet would be awesome! We just started a budget and I'm trying to actually stick to it this time :) And who doesn't love anything that you bake?! Yum! Pick me! Pick me!

Kristen -

I hope our family is one of the "people" you are glad to have gotten to know via the blog, because I know your family is one that we're very glad to know! We so enjoy checking out your blog since it helps us get to "know" you all the more! I know I've said it before, but my kids still talk about taking a vacation "out west" to visit their pen pals so maybe someday we can talk seriously about this!

As far as your giveaway goes, if I could only be so lucky to win your cookies, I would be estatic because I know how good they are from past packages....but I hope that doesn't mean I don't get the chance to try again!

Happy Blog Anniversary, keep up the good work!

Congrats on 3 years! I just made my first ever blog post (simplyathomeorganization.blogspot.com). We'll see if I can keep it up. Have loved reading about your family and your fun times! We just finished teaching Financial Peace at our church over the summer and have followed Dave for years! Love the wallet! Have never seen that one before!

Um, hello neighbor! Can you believe I even read this during a week night AND took time to comment!

So, I must say I am forever thankful that one person introduced me to blogging and that I did it (and now keep one up at work too)! That's you girl! THANK YOU for your continued inspiration to take my learning to the next level with all your fun online deals and ideas you find! (This must include that wallet too - which has been on my wish list)!

And you know Pat would think I won the lottery to win your cookies and baking! :) (Me too - secretly as if you bake, then I don't have to!

Happy 3 years of blogging!
Val
